So, what is web 2.0? You use the internet everyday and probobly use web 2.0 sites in your own unique way. Your first task, as a group, is to research web 2.0. What is it? What websites and communities are included in the term "web 2.0?" Your job is to research web 2.0 and add to the following:
Definition (Under this heading write your own definition - in your own words - of web 2.0. Write at least 3 sentences.)
- Wikipedia defines web 2.0 as "a term describing changing trends in the use of World Wide Web technology and web design that aims to enhance creativity, secure information sharing, collaboration and functionality of the web. Web 2.0 concepts have led to the development and evolution of web-based communities and its hosted services, such as social-networking sites, video sharing sites, wikis, [and] blogs."
- Traci's Definition- It’s a different perspective of the web, also a different and easier way of using the internet. It’s very easy to understand. It will change the way people talk or look at the internet in an interesting and exciting way, also it’s very safe.

Web 2.0 & Education (Lastly, under this heading give 2 ideas of how web 2.0 can be used to enhance education).
- Blogs can be used to replace pencil-and-paper journals. This is not only a way to incorporate writing and technology but also a way to get students to read and respond to each other's writing.
- Traci I think web 2.0 could be used to help education in a few ways, like using a different language of a chatroom, you could see how different languages there are.
